NDP show

on Saturday, 11th JUly 2009,

83 schools P5 only, went to Marina Bay to watch the NAtional Day Preview. I think i arrived last because i went off at around 1.25 plus when the briefing was at 1.30!!~~
lols...

after a long talk about all the SIngapore stuff, we went off and arrived at Marina Bay around 4 plus(i think) the show commence at 6.00p.m. where everyone was eating their dinner(MCDORNALd's!)I was surprised to see Mark Lee and other 3 artiste......
( can't remember anymore)

after all the talkings that was done by MArk Lee and the other 3 artiste, there were gun shots.. "BONG BOONG BOONG" Most of my friends were scared including me...(lame) all when "arhhh" but not for me lah, of course...! after a few seconds, i saw the redlions jumping down from the helicopter? i was like "don't they feel something in their stomach ? butterflies in their tummies? "i was amazed so too were kenix, annabel and other friends.

at that time, i saw benjamin looking up with his mouth open... lols~~ mAny of them came down very fast. super nice !!!!
at night, i saw the Sinapore flyer it look stunning !!! BEAUTIFUL!
when it was coming towards the end of the show , the pledge moment, there were drizzles. at first everyone thought that it was just a drizzle that had happened in the first and second part of the show. who knows that the drizzle would become a big rain? ....

the rain (rain) non-stop until my poncho break apart!!!! drenched like siao !! my t-shirt and shorts was like so wet that you can squeezed it and see that water was coming out from it. saw that sean and hungkye no poncho and sean was like spiking his hair there.. lols~~! weijian also...zzzz

went into shelter after being drenched like siao. waited for quite long then the bus came. ran into the bus and sat down !! YAYAYYYYYYYYYY!
reached the school then saw my mother and went home.

P5 Camp

Dear all,

On 7th April 2009, The whole P5 went to the MOE campsite to camp.

First day ,

when i arrived at the campsite, the chief of the camp gave us a brief of what we were suppose to do on that day. She said that the whole P5 will be group with other friends from other class. I was group into Group 5 , Berlin,

Next, the groups arrived in Sentosa and there were a lot of task to do as all the instructor of all groups have received a list of what the P5 pupils were going to do. One of the tasks that i remembered was that my group had to find two poles that wrote 地下将军天上将军 i think.

Lastly, When the groups returned to the campsite, at night, we had to quickly bathe and hurry down to the canteen to have supper. That night,i met instructor Jeremy who sat beside me and started talking to me, but i didn't reply him because i was very tired at that time after so many things had happened.

Day 2,

In the morning, the chief of the camp did the same thing on the first day. She said that we are going to do the high elements and many people would have to overcome the fear of heights.:D

Later, my first station was the rock climbing. I did not climb the rock climbing wall as my other friends did not accompany me.We sat down instead and began chatting happily.

Next,we went on to the next station which was climbing down the building. I was numbered number 10 so i didn't get a chance to climb down the building because everyone was taking their own sweet time. But instead of climbing the building, i did another high elements.(don't know what is high element called) When i climb onto the robe, i was scared stiff because i suffer from heights but soon i learnt to overcome it.

Day3

this is the day when i can go home!!! but only after area cleaning. haiz. but after 11 o'clock we can still go home!! hahah

Earth Hour.

Hi,

1. What is Earth Hour?
Ans: Earth Hour is an activity that everyone must choose between Earth or Global Warming.

2. When is it held this year?
Ans: Saturday, 28 March 2009

3. Why do you think people are organising this event?
Ans: I think the people organising this event is helping the earth not to have global warming.

4. What will everyone be doing during Earth Hour?
Ans: They will be switching off the lights in their homes.

5. What other activities can you organise with your family and friends during Earth Hour?
Ans: We would like to organise activity called Switching off all the electricity handphones during Earth Hour.

6. What are the other problems the Earth is facing?
Ans: Financial Crisis

7. Could you propose some solutions to ONE of the problems which you have highlighted?
Ans: I would suggest that people must continue buying staffs and the company must not retrence people.

March holidays

Hi all,

During the March holidays, i stayed at home most of the days playing computer. During one of the March holidays, my brother went to Germany for 1 weeek. When he came back, he said that Singapore was very hot. As the day that my brother came back from Germany, it was my father's 46 birthday. So my family and I went to our grandparent's house to eat steamboat. It was delicious.

Next, after eating steamboat, we went back home to see back my brother bought for the family. Guess what, he only bought a shirt for himself and my father and he also bought some chocolate back to eat. hmmm... the chocolate was delicious!!!! My father told my mother that these chocolates can't be bought in Singapore.

We continued eating and eating, just when we were about to sink our teeth to the last threee chocolates, my brother emerged from his room and in his hand was an Effiel Tower( is it spell like that?) We were astonished as the design of the Effiel Tower was very nice. My mother asked him how much is the Effiel Tower, he replied saying that it cost $40 euro i think. That was about $140 Sing.

He begin sharing his journey from the day he was in Germany to the last day..... When he arrived in Germany, he said that Germany was beautiful and cold as the temperature there was -1 degree celeuis(is it spell like that?) and it snowed. Then second sister begin shouting that when she went to China last year, it was -7 to 8 degree celeuis and it did not snow!!!!!!

Hahaha. Well, when it was about 11 o'clock, my father asked us to sleep as it was very late already.

Fire Safety

Hi all,

Today's topic is about fire safety. Have you experience any fire break out in your home or neighbourhood? I hope not. For me, i did not experience any fire break out in my home or near my neighbourhood.

Next, if my home or neighbourhood happens to have a fire break out, i would run to the nearest exit to escape from the fire. If i cannot escape from the fire, i would lie low and crawl as the smoke would rise and the air beneath would be fresh. But after the fire break out, my mind would be filled with bewilderness like how did my home or my neighbourhood would have a fire break out and many more question. The cause of the fire break out maybe from our home because there is many things that can cause fire such as the stove, the boiling keetle , playing with fire, not handling fire properly and many more.

The only way to prevent fire from breaking our in our homes or outside is that we must switch off the switch to the boiling keetle, handling fire properly, not playing with fire and last but not least switch off the stove when not in use.

My teacher asks me whether all the pupils would be conscious about fire or not. My answer is YES because all the pupils in Anderson Primary School are not small children and they know that fire safety is important when handling with fire.

Lastly, i would say that if i have the chance to introduce fire safety to other children, i would say i am willing to teach those children.

Social Studies Reflection

hey all,

Today is the day that is the worst learning journey i had been to ever!!! It first started arrived at Old Ford Factory. The place does not look old to me but new. The guide came and lead us to the threatre of the place to watch a short clip about what happened during World War 2.

Next, we proceed to the gallery that show us all the things that were used in the past and news about when Singapore returned to British and how the Japanese Occupation surrender. The next place that we arrived was Bukit Chandu. The place looks like ghost town because it looks like nobody had been there and only we have been to this horrible place. The guide is almost repeating the same speech as what the guide in Old Ford Factory was speaking about.

After all the speaking and letting us understand the past, the guide in Bukit Chandu lead us to the 2 storey. There we saw the Well Of Reflection and the statue of Lietenant Adnan. And again we watch the short clip about what happened in World War 2 and how Lietenant Adnan was killed in the World War 2.

It was time to go back to school and i heaved a sign of relief that i can get out of this horrible place!!!

Total Defence(What will i defend?)

Hey all,

I want to defend my family at any cost because it means everything to me..Whenever i am unhappy or trouble over something, they will always be there for me. Of course if any of my family members is unhappy, my family and i will also be there for him/her.Nothing matters more than my family and my family members!
